Which are correct:

1) In our country, which football team you support is largely determined by your social class.

2) In our country, the football team you support is largely determined by your social class.

3) In our country, which football team you support largely depends on your social class.

4) In our country, the football team you support largely depends on your social class.

2) and 4) are not wrong, exactly, but they are rather sloppily phrased. 4) could be parsed (perversely) as meaning that football teams receive support from the entire social class you belong to.

On the other hand, I suspect that 2 and 4 are far more widespread in spoken English than 1 and 3...
