a. There are a lot of people I'd rather do this job than you.
b. There are a lot of people I'd rather have do this job than you.


c. There are a lot of people I'd rather did this job than you.
d. There are a lot of people I'd rather have did this job than you.



Are these sentences grammatically correct?

Only b) and c).

It's interesting that the verb "do" works in the past tense in c), but not in the present tense in a).

Agreed. If I can work out a coherent explanation of the syntax of sentences a - c, I may be able to hazard a guess at why d doesn't work!
