- Hi everybody! What word do you use to describe someone who is half asleep and half awake?

Dozing or {Semi-conscious / half-conscious / half-awake} or {semi-unconscious / half-unconscious / half-asleep}, depending on what you wish to emphasize.

I'm not aware of any word in English that describes a person who is in this state, other than "sleepwalker" or "zombie", both of which describe a person who is in a fairly unusual state that implies something more than being merely half-awake.

The word that springs to my mind is "drowsy". It is also possible to use the word "soporific" in this sense, but it is not common.
