We use subtitles whenever we can because as we get older, the audio is harder to understand. But it is often the actors - especially child actors. Adults can be as bad, even when they know better. We had no trouble understanding Eddie Redmayne in Les Misérables so were expecting the same performance in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. No such luck - he mumbled his way through the movie.

I suspect that often the actors are told to speak that way. Because it is supposed to be so "natural". :roll:
But I can do without that "natural" talk. :)
I prefer to be able to understand what is spoken. :)
