Can anyone come up with a word that starts with the letter "i" and has anything to do with words, writing, script, literature, etc.
Thanks

Try the following:

Imagery // Internal rhyme // Irony // Inversion // Iamb; iambic meter // Intertextuality // Interactive novel // Intentional fallacy // Invective // Implied author // In medias res // Incunabulum // Implied metaphor // Informal diction.

.. and even in the Downunder colonies we have heard of ibidem, ictus, ideograph, idyll, introduction, invective .. and as we can never, it seems, get away from sex so you might like to add >> ithyphallic, which of course everyone will immediately recognise as deriving from the Greek for an "erect phallus" and then the next time you are celebrating the Festival of Dionysus and someone sprouts forth with an ode you can amaze everybody around you by saying, in your most learned voice, "Oh how wonderful, an ithyphallic verse just like old Archilochus used to write AND I see they have stuck to the trochaic dimeter brachycatalectic verse form." .. and hey everyone just thought I was a pretty face ..

"Interphrastic" (the derived adverb is, I think, mentioned in "Blackadder") sounds like it might be. Might I also supply the missing "Ink" (unless it's invisible).

icon, idiosyncrasy, indent, idiograph, idea, inflection, impersonation, imprint, imprimatur, inculcate, indecipherable, indecent...can't really think of too many more before getting into adjectives that merely describe writing, print, etc., without defining them -- as some of mine easily did.
