OT but amusing...

Just thought you might like the following dialogue from the other day:

==================

Me (to elder son Thomas, aged 5): <jokingly> You silly moron!

Thomas: YOU'RE a moron!

Me: You don't even know what a moron IS!

Thomas: Yes I do, Daddy. It's a kind of bird!

Me: <after 5-second pause with very puzzled expression on face> MorON! Not MoorHEN!

=========================

He was nearly right, I suppose. I AM as bald as a coot...

Simon! You have completely spoiled my mental image of you as a hirsute hippy! (Sorry, just joking... I think.)

Doesn't that make you a less-on, Simon?

Sometimes it's better just to duck out of these situations.

It could get worse, Simon. If you are a Beck, is Thomas a Becket?

Reminds me of the words uttered after the killing of that 'turbulent priest': "I disapprove of what you slay, but, Will, defend to the death your right to slay it!"
