HOUT?

Any one knows what the word HOUT means?

It's there on this blog I was reading and i wasn't able to figure out what it meant.

It is a surname. or Dutch for "wood" according to the search facilities on our home page. I didn't look long and hard at the blog, in fact, I think I can say that I probably won't be visiting again, but could Hout be the bloke's name?
