DO YOU SPEAK AMERICAN?

For people in the US who call in to this forum in time, tonight PBS will broadcast the program " DO YOU SPEAK AMERICAN ".
Hope some of you have the time to catch it.

One little blurb on the program identified for me, my protagonist. For that to be a clear identification, they must and did use a term to identify my transgressions. I found out that I am eroding the graphalect, which the prescriptivists hold the purity of, dear. I have also heard derision of "no dangling participle" lately, but I think that referred to americanizms other than those not needing such things as 'dear' to complete for clarity of message.
